About Us
About Us
Turner Access was established in 1984, initially as a local hire business. Over the last 40 years, the Company has grown into an innovative contract scaffolding company.
As part of the
Turner Group, we have strong support from our Parent company and network of sister companies, all specialising in the supply and servicing of equipment, asset rental and the provision of comprehensive support services.
Our People
Our Operations Management Team has over 100 years of combined experience in the access and scaffolding industry. Individually they bring specialised skills and knowledge; as a team, they provide leadership to grow the business.
Our management personnel are supported by conscientious, hardworking administration staff and a supervisory team that ensures our operational staff are performing to the highest safety standards and achieving the targets set.
This includes a growing team of CISRS-qualified scaffolders, apprentices and yard staff, based at our head office location in Glasgow.

CISRS Scaffolders
Over 45 directly employed, fully trained and qualified Part 1 and Part 2 CISRS Scaffolders. CISRS is the most recognised industry scaffold training scheme in the UK.
Apprentices
We are committed to supporting local apprenticeship schemes and are currently employing 5 scaffolder apprentices. We work closely with training providers CITB.
Transport & Logistics
Our logistics team manage a busy scaffold yard, along with the deployment and maintenance of our vehicle fleet, including four 7.5t trucks, four HIABs and 12 vans.
Health & Safety Advisors
Our management teams work closely with a third-party health and safety consultancy, providing ongoing support in all legislative, compliance and other safety-related issues.

This development of 48 flats for social rent will be delivered by CCG on behalf of North Lanarkshire Council. The project involves the conversion of a former YMCA building and construction of two, new flatted blocks and it will be delivered entirely to a low-carbon (non-gas) standard of build, set for completion summer-2024.

Does anyone recognise this building? π€
If you guessed Ross Hall then you’d be correct! This lovely building is a hospital now, but has had some fascinating uses over the years.
It was built 1877 and was at one time the residence of the owner of the Lobnitz shipyards on the River Clyde and later the 'Scottish Hotel School' linked to the University of Strathclyde.

14 year-old Aaron Dempsey has been selected to represent TeamScotland in the World Kickboxing Championships 2023 in Orlando Florida!
Despite only taking up the sport three years ago, Aaron’s hard work, dedication and commitment to training with RMKB Fitness and Martial Arts has paid off. After a gruelling three-hour sparing match with some of the country’s best Aaron beat off more than 100 other competitors to secure his place on the team.
Aaron is delighted and looking forward to the World Championships in Orlando however, he needs your help to get there!

He started as a Yard Labourer straight from school and then trained to be a scaffolder, obtaining his Part 1 and Part 2 in scaffolding. β

After a few years on the tools, he then moved in the office, trained as an Estimator. β

With a wealth of knowledge in all areas of the business David moved on to run the Cowdenbeath yard, before returning to run the main Glasgow yard, becoming the Yard and Logistics Manager.β

Due to a number of staff self isolating we were unable to enjoy our Christmas night out at the Marriott this weekend. β

But, making the best out of a bad situation, we decide to donate our table to local charity Kickin’ On! β

They are a grassroots mental health and addition support service. β

We hope a good night was had on our behalf!

Our scaffolding is now down from the Pennywell site in North Edinburgh, where we’ve been working with Robertson Partnership Homes. β

The new affordable homes being built here are fantastic and we’re delighted to have played a part in the regeneration of the area!
